Spin-Off Magazine is $7.99 per issue.
I have back issues at lower prices. Please inquire about which back issues are available. I do carry multiple copies of the current and most recent issues and of the previous issues that have articles that I’ve published; “The Tie That Binds” (2000) (teaching my 80 year-old father to spin/he became an important part of my spinning business), and “Processing, Spinning and Weaving Milkweed Stalk Fiber” (2003). An earlier article “A Vest From Floor Scraps” (1994) is currently out of print.
I do plan to self-publish a booklet collecting 5-10 articles I have written relating to spinning. If you are interested, let me know and I will put you on a list to receive it when it is ready.

Hi Carol,
I bought a pair of wonderful booties from you at the Harvest Festival at Shelburne Farms last fall for my new grandson. I have been a knitter since I was little and have crocheted some too. I would love to be able to make booties similar to yours. Maybe the pattern is a secret. If not, I would love it if you would share it with me or tell me where I can get it. Thanks. Emily

Hi Emily, I can’t give you the pattern or that would defeat my aim to sell them. They sell very well and for many years, now. Do you want to make them for yourself and for gifts, or do you want to make them to sell? If you are only interested in making them for yourself or as gifts, I would be happy to give you a few tips, and from my tips you could surely make them. My phone # is 802-244-8025. If you wanted to call, a good time would be between 8 and 9PM in the evening. Best Wishes, Carol Johnson Collins
